Ban the sale, import, and distribution of non-medicinal, tobacco-free nasal powders marketed as energy boosters or "energy sniffs." Caffeine & herbal powders designed for nasal inhalation should not be exempt from food, beverage, & age-restriction regulations.

“Energy sniffs” are powders containing high levels of caffeine, taurine and guarana designed to be snorted. We believe they normalise drug-taking behaviour by mimicking Class A drug use, risk serious nasal and respiratory damage, and exploit regulatory loopholes by avoiding food safety rules and proposed under-16 energy drink restrictions. The UK must act now to protect public health and young people.
