Rejected petition: Stop the construction of AI data centers in the UK
Rejected on
This petition is about stopping the construction of AI data centers, there’s nearly 600 in the UK alone, the Uk is entering a drought which said centers are worsening. Those who are less fortunate are struggling to pay bills, housing is expensive, if you want to live safely, don’t use AI.
The global use of AI is speedily contributing to global warming, alongside consumerism, but they play hand in hand, the constant need for instant information, and generating images to your liking is the reason as to why some people’s water is just residue from the unusable water being generated by data centers, the UK doesn’t need data centers and since AI became free to use by the general public, it’s contributed to pollution, animals are becoming extinct and people are dying because of AI use.
