Open petition: Mandate sanitary bins in public loos for those with a colostomy bag

Created by Aston Avery
Closes on

It’s necessary to not ostracise people that have a colostomy bag and allow them to use general facilities if disabled toilets are not available. Every toilet for customers in a venue/business and public loos maintained by local authorities should be required to have a sanitary bin.

There is a lack of sanitary bins in loos in public places, especially for those with a colostomy bag. There are times that those who have a colostomy bag endure an accident whilst in public, need somewhere to dispose their colostomy bag after changing it. What happens is that those with a colostomy bag after changing it end up having to walk around a public place carrying it until they find somewhere to place in the bin (somewhere outside the loos), this effects all walks of life.
