Rejected petition: Survivours of Domestic Abuse should have a life time Non-molestation to be safe
Rejected on
My petition is that all survivours of Domestic Abuse are granted a Non-molestation for life. 6-12months is not long enough for survivors to heal and try to move on with their lives and feel safe. I believe if these are in place for life then there will be less post separation abuse cases.
90% of perpetrators will continue with their behaviours.
6-12 months is not going to make a perpatrator a reformed character, they will pick up where they left off and even more if there are children involved.
Survivors of Domestic Abuse shouldnt have to re live their trauma or wait for more abuse to happen before they can be protected again and to try and heal and move on with their lives.
If this was put in place there would be hopefully lower statistics for post separation abuse.
