We believe the Government should fund free bus travel for school pupils, college students and apprentices. The cost of travelling to education or training can be a barrier for young people and families. Free travel could improve access to learning, training and employment opportunities.

Bus fares can stop some young people getting to school, college and apprenticeships. We believe no young person should face barriers to going out, meeting friends and taking part in their community. The Government could introduce a travel pass issued by schools, colleges and apprenticeship providers to give eligible students free travel for education.
