Open petition: Convene relevant parties to seek agreement on international regulation of AI

Created by Sarah Bradley
Closes on

We believe there has been too much talk about regulation of AI and not enough action. The Government should host a meeting of fellow Governmental officials, relevant NGOs and Senior Executives from the top AI labs to discuss and propose a set of international AI regulation principles.

I am an avid supporter and user of AI. I can see the benefits it is already delivering, and the potential it has. But I am also hugely concerned that something that has the power to irrevocably change (and potentially threaten) human existence currently has little to no regulation. There are a growing number of reports of AI hacking into systems without authorisation or trying to trick humans with malicious code.
