Open petition: Mandatory data collection on deaths linked to ‘chemsex’

Created by Brook Maiden
Closes on

Require the UK Government to introduce national recording of chemsex-related deaths and publish annual data to improve prevention, support and harm reduction

In our view, if we don’t count chemsex-related deaths, we can’t understand the scale of the problem. If we can’t understand it, we can’t prevent more lives being lost.

Every life matters. Every death tells a story. But right now, the UK does not record when a drug-related death happens in the context of chemsex.

This petition calls for better recognition through better data collection, and as a result better support — not to judge people, but to save lives.
