We are in the middle of a drought, with a hosepipe ban, grass and vegetation are perfect for a fire to start and spread quickly, yet Aylesbury Council are hosting a firework display "despite dry weather".
Wildlife and nature are struggling in this long dry heat, grass has dried out completely, vegetation and these weather conditions are perfect fire fuel, a wayward spark from these fireworks could cause so much destruction to the fields, wildlife, potentially homes. Fires spread quickly, but in this dry heat, will spread even quicker and will bring devastation yo so much land.
