Rejected petition: Increase Wellholme skatepark/bike track size and safety.

Rejected on

I’m asking for the local skatepark to be expanded to improve safety and reduce overcrowding. With increasing numbers of young children using scooters and bikes, expanding the bike track would give them more dedicated space, keeping them away from skateboarders and reducing collisions and congestion.

The skatepark is becoming increasingly dangerous due to the limited space and the number of toddlers and under-9s riding scooters and bikes around the skate area. Many young children are inexperienced and unaware of their surroundings, making it difficult to avoid collisions with full-grown skateboarders moving at speed. Expanding the park and providing a larger, dedicated bike track would create safer space for everyone and reduce the risk of serious accidents.
