Open petition: Fund free GCSE exams for all home-educated children
Created by Sadie Lyon
Closes on
We want the Government to fund free GCSE exams for all home-educated children. We believe that they should be free as parents already pay tax, and that decisions to not enrol in mainstream schools, as it can often be too much for many children, should not mean they are denied access to GCSE exams.
Many children thrive from being educated at home, as they feel safe and listened to – things which cannot always be achieved in mainstream schools. Despite this, access to GCSEs is not free of charge for home-educated children, unlike students in mainstream schools.
