Rejected petition: Stop the Boats!
Rejected on
The Government’s primary duty is border security and protecting citizens. Unlawful entry burdens taxpayers and public services. Immediate removals are essential to uphold the rule of law, protect safety, and restore public trust.
The primary duty of any government is to secure national borders and protect its citizens. Allowing individuals who enter the country unlawfully to remain places an unsustainable burden on taxpayer money, local housing, and public infrastructure. Allowing illegal entry undermines the integrity of the legal system and rewards lawbreaking. Stronger enforcement and immediate removals are urgently needed to uphold the rule of law and restore public safety.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We are not clear what you are calling for as the title seems to be about stopping boat arrivals but the main text seems to be about removing people who have already arrived by boat.
We do already have a petition open on this latter subject, which you may wish to sign:
Detain, detect and deport all illegal immigrants
