The plan to introduce free Bee Network travel for 11–16s from January 2027 excludes children aged 5–10. This financially penalises families with younger children facing identical cost-of-living pressures, costing them up to £500 a year per child. Differentiating travel rights strictly based on age within compulsory education is unfair. The Government should provide funding to cover all children under 16, offering comprehensive relief to households and encouraging green travel habits early.Once
