We call on the UK Government to introduce legislation allowing the death penalty to be imposed for the most serious cases of rape of a child, following conviction and all applicable legal safeguards.
Child rape causes profound and potentially lifelong harm to victims. We believe that the most serious cases warrant the highest possible criminal penalty. We therefore call on the Government to consider legislation that would permit capital punishment for the rape of a child following conviction and the full safeguards of the criminal justice process.
