Open petition: Mandate neurodiversity training for leaders and managers in all workplaces
Created by Kaley Ellen Tuson-Townend
Closes on
I would like the government to make it mandatory that all management in the workplace undergo training in how to best support their neurodivergent staff. This would help prevent people being alienated and rendered useless. A disability does not mean we are incapable. We could be your best employee.
After reaching 32 years of age and having a total of 34 jobs, as a neurodivergent woman with ADHD the workplace is truly exhausting. The stigma that surrounds this, the ridicule, the closed minded native attitudes of some management and being made to feel incapable just because I require different things and not getting my needs met has made going to work day to day unbearable. Let’s try and make it so we can speak up and be open without fear of judgement and dismissal.
