Make it a criminal offence to hit a cat with a vehicle and drive away and legally require reporting collisions and taking them to the vet immediately. Social media posts show the cruelty of leaving cats to suffer horrific injuries or die alone in pain.

Beyond the severe harm it can cause to cats, collisions can devastate loving owners, who are left heartbroken without closure or medical help for their pets, and can traumatise witnesses and heavily impact their mental health. We believe cats deserve strong legal protection, and that drivers should be held accountable and act responsibly.
