I would like the Government to pass a law that makes feeding seagulls a criminal offence and introduce fines for people who breach this law.

Feeding seagulls can unsettle people’s lives, which include impacting people’s sleep quality due to being woken up by seagulls, as well as seagulls scratching car roofs, damaging plants, and fouling in gardens, cars and paths which can act as a health hazard. In addition, it can impact people’s quality of life, especially when seagulls swoop down towards adults and children.

In addition, feeding seagulls can result in rats and other vermin being attracted. The feeding of seagulls has become a serious issue not just for myself, but for many residents in my local community.
