Open petition: Scrap the planned 2029–2039 Asylum Support and Accommodation programme

Created by Jamie Johnson
Closes on

Cancel the Home Office Asylum Support and Accommodation Programme procurement (2029-2039). Shift focus from long-term housing to rapid enforcement. We want to protect taxpayers from multi-billion corporate contracts, ease pressure on local public services & enforce strict contractor accountability.

The 2029–2039 Asylum procurement locks the UK into a massive long-term framework which we believe directly contradicts urgent immigration reform: first, it commits billions of taxpayer funds to unaccountable private corporate contractors under failed models; second, it avoids shifting policy completely from housing to rapid enforcement and deterrence; and third, these vast arrangements in our view place an unsustainable, unfair burden on local public services. We want the Government to scrap this exercise and focus entirely on enforcement.
