Open petition: Introduce fire services medal for fighting wild fires across the UK
Created by Jonathan mcfarlane
Closes on
We call on the UK Government to introduce an official medal recognising firefighters, emergency personnel and volunteers who have shown courage and dedication while tackling devastating fires and protecting our communities. Their service and sacrifice deserve national recognition.
Across the UK, firefighters, emergency crews and volunteers work tirelessly during major fires, often in extremely difficult and dangerous conditions. Alongside those fighting fires directly, volunteers support communities, provide supplies and help people affected. We believe their courage, dedication and public service deserve lasting national recognition through an official UK Government medal, honouring everyone who steps forward when communities need them most.
