Rejected petition: Schools are not safe enough to ban phones due to assault and severe bullying
Rejected on
I want parliament to realise how important phones are in school because people get bullied and assaulted which now is a regular thing which is vile and young people will not be able to personally contact parents and tell them the truth about what’s happened and be able to get help
Schools in the UK are not always safe enough for phones to be completely banned. Phones can help students contact parents in emergencies, report concerns and feel safer when travelling to and from school. A balanced policy should allow phones when genuinely needed.
