Rejected petition: Allow children 1 week authorised absence or make holiday prices fair

Rejected on

Allow children 10 authorised sessions (5 days) per year for a family holiday. Alternatively make travel companies charge the same prices they do in school holidays as they do in term time. Children should not pay the price of loosing out on family vacations due to others greed.

All children and families deserve the right to a family vacation once a year. Due to travel companies/hotels etc hiking their prices during school holidays this makes a holiday unaffordable for a lot of people. Now parents face fines and legal action for taking their children out of school this makes holidays unachievable for a lot of people. People work hard, children work hard, people deserve to enjoy this life and a holiday once a year is something people deserve.
