Equal Rights: End arbitrary head-lease bans for flat renters.

The Renters’ Rights Act promised to end unfair pet bans, but we feel a major loophole leaves flat renters behind. While your immediate landlord can agree to a pet, the building’s freeholder can step in and outright deny the request without giving any reason. Because the Act does not cover the relationship between leaseholders and freeholders, arbitrary "no pets" clauses in head leases remain legally binding. Pets provide vital mental health support and reduce loneliness. Sign if you agree.
