Rejected petition: Life sentence for anyone driving the wrong way on a motorway, including children

Rejected on

After the tragedy on the M9 that almost claimed the lives of an innocent family, this reckless behaviour can't be allowed to continue. Anyone doing so should face a life sentence and nothing less, regardless of age.

We have all seen the destruction and tragedy to an inncocent family caused by reckless "teenagers" driving the wrong way on the M9 to try to avoid the police... in the days that followed, more have been attempting to do the same in both Ireland and the UK. This irresponsible behaviour can not continue. I ask that a law is brought in for anyone caught doing so to be given a life sentence in jail and nothing less, no bail either and no "half served" sentence, they should be jailed untill they die.
