Open petition: Ban employers from disadvantaging Armed Forces spouses and partners
Created by Molly Poulter
Closes on
We are concerned that military spouses and partners are facing backlash from jobs for being married to serving personnel. This is due to having an unstable location and not knowing where we will be posted next.
Military spouses and partners can struggle to find work in isolated areas, which can lead to them to have to take certain benefits.
We feel this is discrimination. Due to our partner's jobs, we can get posted to different locations. Businesses sometimes worry about our loyalty.
Ban employers from disadvantaging Armed Forces spouses so discrimination cannot happen any longer. We give up a lot too and it is unacceptable for us to face this discrimination. Something needs to be done.
