Open petition: Introduce new rules for B2B sales of telecommunication contracts

Created by Mateusz Kozak
Closes on

We call on the UK Government to introduce an immediate, mandatory 14-day cooling-off period for all business telecommunications contracts sold over the phone. Furthermore, we demand a review of the regulatory oversight and enforcement against predatory sales tactics.

We call for Regulatory Changes to protect the UK small business economy from predatory telecom practices, through the following legislative and regulatory actions:
Pre-Contract Disclosure Requirements: Mandate that no B2B verbal contract is legally binding until the business owner has received, reviewed, and signed a clear written summary of all costs and terms after the initial phone call.
Introduce Mandatory 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Review Mis-selling Practices and Enforcement
