We call on the UK Government to review and reform family immigration rules to protect genuine family life, ensuring that financial and administrative requirements do not create disproportionate barriers to families living together in the UK.
Family is the foundation of a stable society. Genuine families should not be forced apart by disproportionate financial or administrative barriers. Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights protects the right to respect for family life. We call for a fairer family immigration system that balances effective immigration control with the fundamental importance of keeping genuine families together.
