Open Make bodycams and improved restraining training compulsory for SIA staff

We call on the Government to make it compulsory for all SIA staff to wear bodycams and for improved restraining training to be introduced for all SIA staff, in order to prevent death or serious injury to members of the public.

We believe that the use of bodycams and improved restraining training can ensure that members of the public restrained by SIA staff, such as door staff at a venue, are safer. We are concerned that the current standards of training mean that excessive force is sometimes used, which in some cases have led to deaths.
