With rents in Bristol similar to those seen in Greater London, it's time NHS wages/banding matched those under a London weighting.
Bristol rental prices are now very similar to Greater London rental prices, yet NHS workers in Bristol are paid less for doing the same jobs as London workers (London weighting). Bristol needs it's own weighting, similar to London. Same rent, same pay! Staff are struggling to meet basic living cost needs. We're being pushed further out of the city away from family and friends. With unions failing to support regional weightings, it's time we show our frustration.
