Because of their status as critical national infrastructure, data centres are currently prioritised above householders and agriculture for water use. This could mean that in times of drought, our taps run dry while water companies can’t divert water from data centres. It needs to stop.
Think about what you have used AI for in the last few weeks. Were any of these things more useful to you than drinking water? If the answer is no, tell the government to fix this, and put people above big tech companies.
