Open petition: Intervene to freeze energy bills for the foreseeable future

We believe the ill, aged, poor, hardworking people of Britain cannot withstand any more energy increases. We are demanding a total freeze on energy bills. We believe Ofgem have been ineffective in easing the cost of living and we note the vast profits earned by energy companies. Freeze bills now.

We feel we are suffering at the hands of our own government's policies and are tired of the same excuse of blaming wars for our current woes. In our view, there were no wars that initially led to the spiralling cost of energy, but rather it was the government's decision to stop Russian gas, Net Zero Energy policies and what we see as the destruction of the gas sector that saw fees rocket by the introduction of such things such as the green levies and shipping in offshore energy. We are concerned this has made energy unaffordable for many.
