Open Fund free bus travel for unpaid carers

We want the Government to extend and fund free bus travel for unpaid carers. We believe it is prudent to raise this issue due to the money unpaid carers lose in travel time when doing carer duties, as well as the money they save the Government by doing their role.

We believe unpaid carers serve both the person they're caring for and the country, and that the service they offer saves the Government costs in social care, and often results in carers incurring their own unpaid expenses.

One example is bus travel to collect shopping, medicines and other caring duties. These costs add up but the service they provide save the country money at the same time by reducing reliance on other public services. We should offer free bus travel to unpaid carers.
