Current laws leave homeowners powerless when vehicles are left on their driveways without permission. We call on the Government to give local authorities powers to identify owners, require removal within 48 hours, and recover all associated costs from offenders.

We believe homeowners should have a quicker legal remedy when vehicles are left on private driveways without permission. Current laws often treat these incidents as civil matters, leaving property owners with limited practical options. We call on the Government to introduce powers allowing local authorities or accredited recovery operators acting on their behalf to identify vehicle owners and remove unauthorised vehicles after a 48-hour notice period.
