Introduce legislation to make political motivation an aggravating factor in sentencing when determining the seriousness of an offence, including a violent crime or an incitement to violence. We are concerned inflammatory political labels are being increasingly used to incite hatred and violence.

When people are called inflammatory political labels without evidence, it can incite hatred and violence against them. We are concerned political witch-hunting is escalating. We ask that political motivation be treated as an aggravating factor in sentencing for violent crimes and inciting violence, so those who use such labels to stir up violence face stronger penalties.
