We NEED the government to Strengthen animal welfare laws to prevent irresponsible breeding and selling, improve traceability and make enforcement more effective across the UK.
Irresponsible breeding and selling can leave animals vulnerable to neglect, poor health and suffering. After bringing home my 8 week old puppy Kiara, she required veterinary care and more than 70 ticks were found on her causing her anaemia. Her first vaccination also had to be delayed due to diarrhoea, sickness and a compromised immune system. I believe stronger laws, traceability, inspections and enforcement are needed to protect animals before they suffer.
Why was this petition rejected?
