We call on Parliament to independently review sentencing and prison practice, enforce transparency over racial and religious disparities, reassess disproportionate sentences, and prioritise evidence based rehabilitation to uphold equality, proportionality and public safety.
This petition calls for urgent reform of England and Wales’s criminal justice system. It challenges racial and religious disparities in conviction, sentencing and prison discipline, questions inconsistencies where intention can outweigh actual harm, and exposes how punitive custody can fuel reoffending. We demand evidence based sentencing, transparency, proportionality and rehabilitation that protects the public while restoring confidence in justice.
