We would like the government to introduce financial support for children from low-income households who struggle to pay for costs such as club fees and equipment.

Over a third (34%) of UK parents said the cost of their children's participation in sport has had a significant impact on household finances, affecting their ability to pay for necessities such as bills and food.

As the cost of living continues to mean households need to cut back on outgoings, sports clubs and physical activity often fall victim. However, physical activity plays a vital role in supporting children’s mental and physical wellbeing.
