We want the Government to include Idiopathic intercranial hypertension (IIH) in the list for NHS medical exemption certificates. The nature of the conditions leads individuals to take additional medications for migraines, nausea, CSF production, fatigue, weight loss and increased ICP.

IIH is a condition where cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) builds up inside the skull around the brain for no known reason; causing debilitating daily headaches, pulsatile tinnitus, cognitive dysfunction, blurred or permanent vision loss. As a result, variety of medications are utilised to prevent this and manage effects of headache and migraines. these impacts for most individuals IIH is considered a disability, so we believe it should be added to the medical exemption certificate to help support individuals with many medications.
