Open Count and Publish Postal and Polling-Station Votes Separately

Require postal and polling-station votes to be counted and published separately for every candidate and constituency before being combined for the official result. This would allow comparison of voting methods while protecting ballot secrecy.

Current election data records how many postal ballots are issued, returned, accepted and rejected. The declared constituency result records each candidate’s total votes, but does not show how many were cast by post or at polling stations. Publishing separate candidate and rejected-ballot totals for each method before combining them would enable meaningful comparison, improve transparency and strengthen electoral scrutiny while protecting ballot secrecy.
