Require a referendum before Hertfordshire becomes a Sanctuary County. Residents already face severe pressure on social housing, with many waiting 5+ years, as well as limited school places and jobs. Let Hertfordshire residents decide their county's future.
Hertfordshire is already under immense pressure. Residents can wait 5+ years for social housing, while school places, GP appointments, public services and jobs are increasingly stretched. Additional demand could place further pressure on our economy and essential services, while also affecting the character and culture of our communities. Before such a significant change is made, residents deserve transparency and a democratic voice. We are asking for a referendum so those affected can decide.
