Research into endometriosis and care in Womens health. Endometriosis affects social life, work, fertility and intimacy. GP’s often give the birth control pill to deal with symptoms. This is an issue as people may want to have children, and some women are sensitive to hormones in contraceptives.
Endometriosis is a condition where the womb lining grows in other areas. This includes the ovaries, fallopian tubes and pelvic lining. Meaning menstrual blood is unable to leave the body. This results in inflammation and swelling. Along with this, women experience fertility issues, heavy periods, painful periods etc. These painful cramps mean that some women experience fainting, vomiting and diahorrea. Endometriosis causes unpredictable flare-ups which has an affect on social life and work.
Why was this petition rejected?
