Rejected petition: Make it law. No government can remove PIP or DLA
Rejected on
Removing Pip or DLA is removing someone's independence. Its against human rights. With threats to people having this benefit removed when they need it to live is wrong. Let's stop this dialogue, and allow people to live comfortably and fairly.
This is about people with disabilities winning. If we takeaway their pip/dla they have to go without care/transport. This is actually removing someone's independence. So want current government to get it passed through law. That nobody who is entitled has this removed.
If care workers did this when at work we would be in prison for abuse. So want end to seeing conversations about disabilities in parliament. It is discrimination and evasion on of equality act.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Parliament is the supreme legal authority in the UK, which can create or end any law. This means no Parliament can pass laws that future Parliaments cannot change.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. We could accept a petition calling for the government to commit to not making any changes or cuts to the current system of PIP and DLA.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
