Open Fund more pet-friendly homeless shelters

Created by Bethany Andrews
Closes on

I want the Government to fund more pet-friendly homeless shelters so vulnerable people aren’t forced to give up animals to access safe accommodation. Councils should provide or consider pet-friendly housing, recognising animals can provide vital emotional support, safety and stability.

Animals can provide vital emotional support, companionship, safety and stability. People fleeing abuse, homelessness or unsafe homes should not have to choose between a safe home and the animal they depend on. Separation can cause devastating distress.
