Open Allow parents to receive cash equivalent to childcare support if they prefer

Created by Sophie Torbica
Closes on

Give parents a choice in how they use Government childcare support. Instead of only funding childcare, give eligible parents the option to receive equivalent financial support to stay at home and care for their own baby or young child. Let parents choose what is best for their family.

Every family is different, and parents should have a genuine choice in how they use Government childcare support. Instead of only funding childcare, give eligible parents the option to receive equivalent financial support to stay at home and care for their own baby or young child. Let parents choose what is best for their family: childcare or more time at home.
