Open petition: Establish an official annual Women’s Health Awareness Week in England
Created by Stephanie Shroot
Closes on
Women's health campaigns across England are fragmented, with no national platform to unite them. We call on the UK Government to establish an official annual Women's Health Awareness Week, delivering on its own Women's Health Strategy and matching other countries like the US, NZ and Australia.
England already has many valuable women's health campaigns, covering individual conditions, life stages and areas of health, but they remain fragmented with no single national week to unite them. The Government's own Women's Health Strategy recognises the need for better information, education and awareness. An official Awareness Week would connect these campaigns, working with the NHS, workplaces and charities to promote evidence-based information and boost public engagement and knowledge.
