Rejected petition: Three day weekend
Rejected on
We should have a three day weekend because we need room to process what we have taught and also some people have a lot more activities and hardly have a break on the weekend and a extra day will help a lot in the long run.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about the days people work are a matter for individuals and their employers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
We could accept a petition calling for a minimum 3 days off per working week, but it would still be a decision for employers and employees how that was managed.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
