It appears that some MPs, are paid to, and profit from media airtime, during which they present a completely biased and often misleading narrative in order to influence the public; a blatant, yet somehow apparently 'permissable' method by which these people are influencing our democracy. ENOUGH!
We cannot allow media companies and politicians to do this to our democracy. This is not in the public interests, this is free reign to spread divisive and misleading propaganda.

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not exactly sure what you mean by "stealth influence". People are aware that when politicians appear on television (for example) they will have political views which they will want to express.
If the main issue which you are interested in seeking action on is payment for MPs for media appearances you may wish to start a petition focussing on that.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
