Require all airports to provide enclosed, separately ventilated smoking and vaping rooms in both arrivals and departures. Smoking and vaping would remain prohibited elsewhere inside airport terminals, protecting non-smokers while giving passengers a designated place to smoke or vape.

Airports can involve waiting times, while smokers and vapers may have limited options inside terminals. This can lead to people leaving the airport or secretly vaping in toilets.

Enclosed, separately ventilated smoking and vaping rooms would provide a controlled alternative, while protecting non-smokers and making rules easier to enforce.

They could also make UK airports more convenient for international tourists and visitors and should meet appropriate safety, hygiene and security standards.
