Open Introduce compensation & statutory time limit for the CMS to enforce non-payment

We call on the Government to legally require the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) to initiate formal enforcement action within 90 days if a paying parent fails to make payments.

Furthermore, if the CMS fails to collect or enforce payments within six months of a case being opened, the receiving parent should be entitled to statutory compensation from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
