Open Fund accommodation for mothers and fathers that have their baby in the NICU

Provide funding to ensure that parents, carers and foster carers of babies receiving care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) have access to dedicated, separate accommodation within or alongside the hospital, rather than being expected to stay on general hospital wards or at home.

This would help allow families to remain close to their critically ill baby, providing essential emotional and practical support throughout their child’s neonatal journey.

They can go home if they wish but have the option to stay close by.
