Open Ban zoos in the UK

Created by Mona Gharavi
Closes on

I want the Government to introduce legislation to ban zoos in the UK and end the keeping of wild animals in captivity for public exhibition.

We believe all wild animals belong in the wild, in their natural habitats and with their social groups. As someone who has family in Kenya who visits every year and experiences wildlife on safari, I have seen how these animals are meant to live: free to roam, forage, climb, hunt and live with their families. Keeping them in confined enclosures for public display cannot replicate this. Animals are sentient beings, not exhibits or entertainment. Conservation can be supported in natural habitats.
