Rejected petition: Save the UK Youth Parliament
Rejected on
I want the Government to commit to funding UK Youth Parliament, ensuring that youth voice and young peoples' participation in democracy is protected for years to come.
The UK Youth Parliament was established in the year 2000, and since then it has engaged thousands of young people from across the United Kingdom. It has campaigned to lower the voting age to 16 since it was founded, and amongst other things it has campaigned for free school meals, environmental sustainability, and most recently education around hate crime. As a former member, this organisation has had such a large impact on my life and I want to see it protected for future generations.
